What I'm Doing Now

Where:

I live with my wife and our dog in Arlington, VA.

Working On:

I’m a product manager at Amazon working on network infrastructure automation and volunteering with the HQ2 sustainbility group.

Reading & Learning:

• Currently reading Every.to which is more than just a blog and podcast, it’s a media company startup making AI products. Super fun to be part of the community.
• Build Your Own Apps - a course on building apps with Cursor. I built this personal website and blog from one of the units using html, css, javascript, and node.js.

Listening or Watching:

• TV: The Americans. TV series about spies in the 1980’s.
• Album: This is the Sea by The Waterboys.

Recently Favorite Things:

• Mecha Comet: A unix-based modular mobile computer that was announced at CES 2025. Now that I’m writing much more code with Cursor, I’m more interested in personalizing my own tech.
• Canon AE1 film camera: I’ve been shooting film for the first time in years, thanks to a Christmas gift from my brother.

For Fun:

• Planning a trip to Shenandoah National Park in the spring for hiking and cabin relaxatiion.
• Saw some standup comedy at the DC Improv at the beginning of the year. Pete Lee was one of the memorable acts.
